Sundrie Logo Identity Design

Design problem: produce complicated to some extent, consisting of many details, a bit edgy, yet friendly logo identity design, the kind of design “one would like to put on a T-shirt”.
Creative solution: I've decided to use the northern nature as the basic theme to design a logo. Thus, I've combined such iconic elements as polar bear, wolf, mountains, fir trees, and of course Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) which played quite nice all together.
Sundrie is a new Swedish brand that creates fashion goods like clothing, accessories, souvenirs, sundries, and what not, hence the name.

The logo text is consistent with the overall logo artwork design. It is clear and simple to be easily read when placed on various goods, it incorporates nature-themed elements via a successful use of negative space. This wordmark element complements the logo image naturally and can stand on its own functioning as a wordmark logo.
As an experienced logo designer, I know that my responsibility is not only to provide my clients with graphics but with a certain solution of their branding challenges. So along with a primary personalised logo design, I usually develop additional logo variations that can be used depending on the media and situation.
