Often our generation is missing out when neglecting younger one. In fact, they can tell and teach us a lot. Many youngsters are already more advanced than us where it concerns digital world, web marketing, social media. They freely navigate through a bunch of new stuff, adopt every new application without any pressure, they set trends. Of course they don't have as much experience as we do, but I just want to stress out their flexibility and exposure to new techs.
Being a smart entrepreneur one realizes that today's school kids are your tomorrow's clients, audience, even partners, well, might be even employers. Why not to use the notion to your advantage.
If you want to build your audience with younger generation, share interesting and valuable content that your audience need. Give away all good stuff that helped you and share your experience. Be the first to communicate. Do not wait till they ask, most possibly they will follow and like, but won't start conversation. Show genuine interest.
I bet you told to yourself at least couple of times "if somebody had told me that before", so be that person for them, teach them, give them advice, but do not play that mentoring guy, be peer with them instead.
Learn from them
If you want to sell in future, you better follow youngsters now and see what and how they buy. It's not a secret that internet has shaped market greatly. More and more people can buy and sell internationally. More and more people prefer buying online. Increasing number of people is using mobile gadgets to surf through internet. I think you got where I am driving at.
Be sincere when communicating, show real interest, and you might discover really interesting things. Communicating with new people always brings in something new, communicating with younger generation will give you another perspective to look at things. Think about it.
If you have a long run mentality for your business, start building your young audience now and grow with them. Go to your social media accounts, create new one where you are not present yet, and start researching. Invest into a younger generation.
